In an effort to keep up with the almighty Ipad, RIM Blackberry has leaked information about its new 2.0 update, allowing for a playback music feature, which is going to give users the ability to playback any song, and listen to it at any time, whether or not they have it in their playlist. The smart feature is going to be able to hear the song, recognize the name and artist, and store it to the playlist, for later play back, so that the user can later decide to download or discard the song. In an attempt to beat out the Ipad, RIM is really making an effort to make their tablet something which consumers can use for any purpose.
The products by blackberry are typically more for the business consumer, unlike the Apple products, which are generally for the tech savvy users. For this reason, RIM is really trying to add on additional user friendly benefits to the average user, to try and win out some of the purchasers from Apple, and bring them back to RIM. With this feature, they are definately taking a step in the right direction, and are using all tools to compete with Apple.
